Farmers keep a lot of pigs.（keep意為“飼養(yǎng)”）

keep用作及物動詞時，后面還可接V-ing作賓語，表示“連續(xù)不斷地做某事”。如：They kept working day and night in the old days.

keep還可作連系動詞，后面常接形容詞作表語。如：Please keep quiet�。ㄍ辏�
