（2）dress up意為“裝扮”，dress up as…意為“裝扮成……”。例如：

Children like to dress up as ghosts.孩子們喜歡裝扮成鬼。

（1）Thank sb. for doing sth. 意為“因…而感謝某人”，相當(dāng)于Thanks for doing sth. 原句=Thanks for telling me about the Mid-Autumn Festival.此句型中的for為介詞，表示原因，后接名詞、代詞的賓格或動名詞作賓語。例如：

Thank you for helping me.謝謝你的幫助。

Thank you for your help. 謝謝你幫助了我。

（2）tell sb. about sth. 意為“告訴某人關(guān)于某事的情況”，about為介詞，意為“關(guān)于”。例如：

Can you tell us about your school?你能告訴我們關(guān)于你們學(xué)校的情況嗎？

3.We have a special party on October 31st. 在10月31日我們進(jìn)行一個特殊的聚會。(P36)

on October 31st意為“在10月31日”。英語中，在“某月某日”用介詞on。例如：

（2）with是介詞，意為“帶有、具有”，其反義詞為without，意為“沒有”。例如：

New term begins on September 1.新學(xué)期9月1日開學(xué)。

The birthday party will begin at 6:30.生日晚會6：30 開始。

Let’s start to clean the room.我們開始打掃房間吧。

除此以外，start還可以表示“（機(jī)器）的開動”。例如：

I can’t start that car.我不能發(fā)動那輛車。

on holiday意為“度假”，on是介詞，意為“從事……，在……中”。例如：

句中some是表示“建議”。英語中，當(dāng)期待對方作出肯定的回答，或在表示“請求，建議”的疑問句中，用some而不用any。例如：
